Ascension — Legends of Enthos by Tomas Quaid
Book I of the Trilogy

Ascension

A dark epic fantasy of shipwrecked survivors, ancient Kunava ruins, Crylite relics, desert tombs, monstrous guardians, and Ascendants caught in a divine cycle of power, sacrifice, and rebirth.

Synopsis

The first legend begins in wreckage.

After the sea-beast Shakkoral destroys two ships in the uncharted waters of Enthos, a scattered group of survivors washes ashore on islands filled with ancient Kunava ruins, forbidden relics, and blood-soaked secrets. As Captain Tiber's obsession with a stolen heirloom grows, Avuro and the others begin to suspect that survival may require more than escaping the island — it may require understanding what the ruins were built to contain.

Meanwhile, Cora Andovar, a scholar from Andamar, is forced into the Otel'Mar desert to recover Vashakir, the legendary Lightning Rod of Kagaan, after mercenaries take her father hostage. Her search leads her into tombs, Crylite traps, hallucinations, ancient scripts, and the dangerous truth of a civilization lost to catastrophe.

Across Enthos, powers older than nations begin moving again. Ascendants gather, Crylite stirs, Arka watches, and the meaning of Ascension becomes something far darker than salvation.

What Kind of Fantasy

Dark. Adult. Ensemble.

Ascension is for readers who want their fantasy with teeth. Shipwreck horror, desert relic-hunting, scholarly mystery, political tension, profane camaraderie, and tragic stakes — woven through a cosmic mythology of Crylite, Ascendants, and a god who may not be on anyone's side.

Expect monsters that are not just monsters, captains who are worse than the things stalking them, scholars who survive on language, and gods whose gifts double as snares. It is mythic scale held together by very human, very fallible people.
